Dusk/Daybreak

Dusk/Daybreak is a series of digital and experimental photographic prints that capture the transitions of light through the day using two-tone gradations. The multiple prints build a larger narrative, with vertical blurs fading one over the other to allude to the transitions of light between sunrise and sunset. Each print contains a record of images from a day on the coast, featuring screenshots of stories from social networks, remains of the ocean, and common objects found on the beach. The artwork explores the theme of time and the ephemeral nature of memories and moments captured through the lens of the camera. The composition of the prints, with the inclusion of found objects, suggests a commentary on the relationship between humanity and nature, and the impact of human activity on the coastal environment.
